Panorama's Spoilt Rotten - MEND responds

Paul Sacher, Director for MEND, a social enterprise that runs community-based obesity prevention and treatment programmes for families, welcomes Panorama’s focus on childhood obesity in Spoilt Rotten due to be aired tonight (13/4/10). He said:

“The shocking reality of childhood obesity is being felt by the NHS every day. Continuing to compromise the health of our nation’s children is not an option, it is now time for practical action.

“As a nation we need to put an end to this unnecessary obesity epidemic which is causing illness and premature death amongst our children.

"MEND delivers child obesity prevention and treatment programmes in local communities which empower the whole family to live a healthier life."
