The Logo
The new logo represents MEND’s brand values: we are an organisation that designs programmes that empower communities to be healthy, active and joyful by combining scientific rigor and evidence with the ethos of social action. The MEND Dancer symbolises “science with a heart”: the heart represents warmth and well-being and the moving body combines images of DNA and the staff of Aesculapius that has traditionally symbolised medicine.
The Colours
Orange, green, indigo, magenta- these colours define our values of joy, warmth, community, health and motivation. As part of the re-brand, each of our programmes and services has its own colour scheme so that they can be easily identified and differentiated:

The Designers
We are honoured to work with Droga5 / World Wide Mind who agreed to work with MEND on a pro-bono basis. They design logos, brand strategies and advertising campaigns for blue chip global youth and sports brands such as Puma, Adidas, and Nike. To complement their impressive roster of corporate clients, the agency has also taken on charity / pro bono work for health and education organizations like UNICEF, NYC Department of Education, the New Bowery Museum. The award-winning team at Droga5 and World Wide Mind specialise in design and campaigns for the youth market with an emphasis on fun, active play and aspiration: a very good fit for MEND’s brand values.
